Operating pole MGV- U 460 is used as an insulating pole when earthing the railway’s catenary line with the JK22-JK360 earthing device (page 38).
Fitted with a fixed operation socket for locking the line clamp’s spindle and with reflective tape, running eyes for the cable and grip rubber. The pole is fitted with a hand guard that marks where the hand grip section ends and the insulating section starts. This hand guard must not be exceeded when in use. The insulating pole is sealed to prevent humidity penetrating.
The insulating pole is made of yellow, fiberglass reinforced polyvinylester and has an outside diameter of 43 mm. The operation socket is
made of aluminium. The lower end is fitted with a grip rubber and protective cap made of rubber.
