Ref. EN 61235
Branch-cutting pole MKS (light blue) is designed for manual branch cutting along overhead lines (this is referred to as “special work on live
lines”). The pole is telescopic and comprises three, four or five cylindrical tubes with a material thickness of 2.5 mm.
It is equipped with a tool holder that has a 3/4” UNC internal thread to which accessories such as branch saw MKS 4 or branch cutter MKS 3
can be attached.
The branch cutting pole is made of fiberglass reinforced polyvinylester. The pole sections are locked into each other with adjustable
clamps. The pole meets the requirements for satisfactory electric strength according to SS 428 91 10. The top tube functions as an insulating part if the pole comes in contact with live components. This pole section is sealed against humidity penetration.
To ensure the necessary insulation properties, the top tube must always be fully extended before work can commence. The overall
length is then adjusted with the pole’s handle sections. The pole is fitted with a limit marking that marks where the hand grip section ends
and the insulating section starts. This limit marking must not be
exceeded when in use. The lower end is fitted with a protective cap made of rubber.
